Undergraduate Programs
BS/BA Elementary Teacher Education Students who complete this program will earn a bachelors degree and be licensed as a K-8 teacher by the State of Nevada. More Information
BS/BA Secondary Teacher Education Students who complete this program will earn a bachelors degree and be licensed as a grade 6-12 teacher by the State of Nevada. More Information

Licensure Programs
Alternative Route to Licensure Elementary After successful completion of these classes and activities you will then be eligible for hire in schools in Nevada once meeting these as well as State and school district requirements. You will continue courses in order to complete the criteria for a standard teaching license. More Information
Alternative Route to Licensure Secondary After successful completion of these classes and activities, and have passed test requirements such as Praxis Core and II exams, you will be recommended for a conditional license (valid for 3 years) to the Nevada Department of Education. You will continue courses in order to complete the criteria for a standard teaching license. More Information
Business and Industry License Program (B & I) The State of Nevada provides special teaching licenses (7th grade through Adult) for Career and Technical Education subjects in the public schools. More Information

Certificate Programs
Graduate Conditional Licensure Certificate for Elementary Teaching Certificate candidates are individuals working towards a career in elementary education with a focus area of teaching in an elementary school. More Information
Graduate Conditional Licensure Certificate for Secondary Teaching Certificate candidates are individuals working towards a career in middle- or high-school education with a focus area of teaching in middle or high schools. More Information
Certificate in Online Teaching and Training Certificate candidates include K-12 teachers, university instructors and professors, and business and industry trainers. More Information

Masters Programs
M.Ed./M.S. in Curriculum & Instruction The Teaching and Learning Graduate Studies - All the information regarding the Master's Program is a supplement to the UNLV Graduate Catalog. The Department of Teaching & Learning offers two master's degree programs, the Master of Education (M.Ed.) and the Master of Science (M.S.). Within these master's programs, emphasis concentrations have been designed to meet students' professional goals and/or interests. More Information

Ed.D. in Curriculum & Instruction This program is intended for professional educators who desire to extend and advance their studies in the theory and practice of education. More Information
Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction This course of study is for professional educators who desire to extend and advance knowledge in the theory and practice of education as university researchers or leaders in other educational settings. More Information
Ph.D. in Teacher Education This program is projected for professional educators who have an interest in becoming practitioner-oriented scholars in teacher education and who are interested in teacher education as a content area for research. More Information
